Veins in hands with hard lumps... could they be blood clots?

Ganglion?: The most common hard lumps found in the hand are not clots but rather ganglion cysts which originate from joints especially around the junction of the wrist and hand. These cysts have a jel like substance and frequently require surgery for removal. Clots in the hand veins are usually the result of trauma. You may want to see a hand surgeon or vein specialist.

not really : They are superficial veins and when we use the term blood clot in the media we are talking about obstructed deep veins: " deep vein thrombosis" or DVT . Technically the hard spots on the hand veins are also thrombosis of veins but they superficial veins and are called superficial phlebitis not" blood clots.".
