Did you check zinc ?: Zinc deficiency is usually associated with bad taste or lack of taste of food. You might want to check zinc level.

Sinusitis: An infection from the sinuses can give you drainage with trouble swallowing and bad taste! the inflamed veins also might be a sign of infection. Sounds like you might need a course of antibiotics such as Amoxicillin or bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim). You would need at least 21 days a longer course than normal to cure a sinus infection.
