Should quit it: Pain medicines are to be used only if you hurt. Pain after operation is typically gone in 3, 5 days. If it is one week or more since your surgery, you should stop taking it or use tylenol (acetaminophen) instead...It is much safer to use... If needed.

As needed: Take it with food, and only as needed for pain. If you're still taking it 3-4x/day more than three to four weeks out, call your surgeon for advice.
