A member asked:

Can constipation cause pain that feels like it's originating from the uterus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe referred pain: Unlike organs like skin, the gi/gu/gyn tracts have few nerve endings that pinpoint pain sensations. Discomfort originating from your esophagus, stomach, gallbladder, pancreas, colon, bladder, female organs, and prostate can be mistaken by your brain to instead be originating from the back. Pelvic hyperalgesia may contribute to your sense of uterine pain--just be sure your uterus really is okay.
