Mild? Cystic?: Cystic acne, which you say you have, is a serious illness that your physician needs to help you manage. Mild acne usually responds to topical benzoyl peroxide as you're able to tolerate. Whoever put you on the cortisone you say you're taking may advise you, but many folks tolerate 5% or stronger benzoyl peroxide well enough to get great results.
