Psychopathy genetic: The research isn't conclusive about this. What's more important is why the question is asked--is this to better understand a family member, spouse, friend, one's self? Would it lead to genetic counseling if the answer was "yes"? Do check the reason for the question.

Nature vs nurture: This is an old philosophical question of nature vs nurture. In other words, is one born a sociopath (AKA antisocial personality disorder) or is one made a sociopath by environmental factors completely removed from genetic predisposition? Some say its a combination of the two. I would also submit that sociopaths can come from perfectly normal childhoods, free of trauma, and the reverse.
