Exercise can partially overcome those problems, but does not eliminate them. It also causes emphysema, bronchitis, heart attacks, strokes and many cancers. Plus other damage.

Yes: Smoking decrease oxygen, there fore there is less oxygen to the muscles decreasing performance and endurance.
