No: The "zero tolerance" policy for asbestos fibers in the 1990's was politics, not science; after 9/11, tons of asbestos were released into the air and if the danger was what some militants had claimed, millions of people would have had to be evacuated. Even people who are heavily exposed usually don't die of it. I trust you see through the militant / scare story stuff but it's still good to avoid.
