I'm using raw egg as my instant source of protein for workouts. is this a good idea?

Unproven: I did a quick pubmed search for "raw eggs" and did not find anything in the medical literature to substantiate whether they are good or not. On the other hand, other than the possibility of egg allergy and the small chance of infection that comes with any uncooked food, i don't see a significant danger with raw eggs.
