Go see surgeon: Your bf needs to see his surgeon immediately. If he truly has synovial fluid leaking from an incision site this is a potential source of infection. At no time after a knee surgery should you have synovial fluid leaking. Keep the knee clean and covered until seen by the doctor.

Call surgeon: Can be a very serious problem if incisions continue to leak after the first day or so. Higher risk of infection. Your surgeon would definitely want to know this information and likely see the incisions for him/herself.
