Local anesthesia : If you are going to have incision and drainage of the stye (surgical treatment) your doctor will typically give you a local numbing injection while you are awake. After the numbing injection you will not feel anything. If you are concerned about the injection you can ask your doctor if he can do the procedure with general anesthesia.
