I had orif of 2 fx bones in my hand 10month ago. is it normal to still have stiffness and no muscle tone in my hand at this point?

Common to have : Stiffness but would expect your muscle tone to be fairly normal. Did you have therapy ? Have you been using your hand or avoiding use of it. Not using it will cause reduced muscle tone and cause a vicious cycle.

ORIF hand: Some stiffness ; soreness is normal. Amount of energy at original injury, as well as amount of soft tissue damage from the injury, is important to know. Atrophy indicates nerve involvement and deconditioning. X-rays, orthopedic exam, and hand therapy are important.
