A member asked:

Intermittent left side sternum and left breast pain. sharp short pain. no other symptoms. cannot be reproduced. muscular? cardiac? esophagus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Commonly: I see breast pain patients that turn out to have costochondritis. This is inflammation of the rib joint at the sternum. But you need to have an exam to determine the origin of the pain.
