Stabbing 5 second pain along left side of sternum & side of left breast. no other symptoms. happened 2 times in 1 min. cardiac?muscular? trapped gas?

All of above: Your symptoms could by any of the above. Cardiac pain is not described as "stabbing" but rather as not painful pressure or heaviness. It occurs with exertion and lasts minutes at a minimum, never seconds. Your sx sound like a muscle stitch.
