Stye: Sounds like you may have a stye. This is a clogged oil gland that can swell and become painful. Apply warm compresses to the eyelids for 10 min at least 4-6 times a day to open up the oil glands and clean your eyelids and lashes with diluted baby shampoo twice a day. If it does not resolve in one week see your eye doctor for further treatment.

Sty: Sounds like a sty, the result of a blocked oil gland of eyelid, which can press on eyeball blurrying vision because of the pressure. Most resolve by applying hot moist compresses for 10' 4/day x 7d, followed by massage with a small amount of baby shampoo on washcloth. If worsens or spreads, see eye md to evaluate. Sometimes stys don't drain, turn into a chalazion, and need to be incised ; drained.
