Need a colonoscopy: You need to see a gastroenterologist (GI) to get a colonoscopy (and you go to sleep for the procedure). You may have a serious but manageable inflammatory bowel condition called ulcerative colitis or possibly crohn's disease. The earlier these things are detected, the more likely it is that they will be easily managed.
