Watch what you eat and drink to see if able to identify some offending goods, 2. Eat small portion and lightly seasoned foods, 3. Don't lie flat to sleep soon after meal, 4. Upper GI: The short answer is an upper GI contrast study. This should ideally be done looking at both the esophagus and stomach, and with both solids and liquids to see how the esophagus can push them down into the stomach. Best however to get a more throrpugh eval. May also need a ph study and esophageal manometry. Hope this helps!
