What happens if you skip a day without taking your antibiotics ?

Not detrimental: It is not detrimental that you missed just one day..I would resume it as soon as possible. Regular dosing ensures that your body has a constant supply of antibiotic to help fight off the infections more sucessfully. Skipping doses may allow the bacteria to grow and possibly develop resistance..(very important in treating HIV infections)..Resuming your med quickly and you should be fine. Good luck.

4 days ago I had 4 wisdom teeth removed and was prescribed 20mg of celebrex,codeine, and 500mg of antibiotics to take everyday for the next 2 weeks. The celebrex says not to consume alcohol while being medicated on it but can i if i miss out 1 day.
