Daughter coughing a lot after taking fluimucil. this is not her first tym taking this med and never had this issue. shud she continue taking it?

M.D.visit,check temp: The acetylcysteine (mucomyst, fluimucil) helps thin thick mucus. She is also taking Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) for a presumed bacterial infection. There may be an infection causing her cough. I would suggest contacting your physician and asking the pharmacist. Keep her well hydrated, checking her temperature. Removing any nasal mucus with a saline spray may help decrease post nasal drip and cough. Hope this helps.
