Wrong treatment : Fluimucil ( mucomyst) is used as an antidote for acetaminophen overdose and for diseases of increased secretion in the lungs. Your daughter likely had inflammation in her lungs from her infection. Not the same as increased mucus. Cough suppressants are never recommended in this age group, but there are meds that help. If she still has a wheeze or difficulty breathing, go to her doctor
