Hemorrhoids: The painful lump sounds a hemorrhoid which makes sense if you were constipated at the time of the bm. Sitz baths, witch hazel, prepartion h might be helpful. You need to focus on relieving constipation. Drink plenty of fluids and get a good fiber supplement - metamucil, citrucel, etc. Eat plenty of fruits ; veggies.
