Bipolar: Is mainly manifested in large mood swings, depression and mania (high energy). Borderline personality can also have mood swings but a major factor is his/her difficulty with relationships. This can be rooted in being suspicious, jealous, or lack of self esteem. A mental health professional can help. Peace and good health.

Bipolar vsBorderline: A simplified "in a nutshell" answer: 1-bipolar-mood drives actions; borderline-fear of abandonment drives actions 2-bipolar-moods not driven by daily life (appear random). Borderline-mood + or - triggered by day's events (feel abandoned/let down/disappointed) 3-bipolar-biological/chemical imbalance; borderline-caused by early childhood disruptions 4-bipolar-meds primary; borderline-meds+therapy.
