Borderline PD: Borderline pd has an enduring & pervasive pattern of instability in interpersonal relationships, sense of self, and moods/affects.The person fears both abandonment and intimacy. Depression is a mood disorder with changes in sleep, energy & appetite -- and between episodes, the person is well. Borderline pd may experience "abandonment depression, " which has a different pattern and context.
