How can i assure my gastro doesn't go above moderate sedation for my colonoscapy? first time being sedated and a bit anxious.

Sedation worries: Tell them your concern. Colonoscopy is a light sedation because it just doesn't take much to get it done. You wake up very shortly after they're done. This is a very safe, routine anesthesia.

ASK: Just ask for GI doc not to sedate you very heavily.
