Scheduling a colonoscopy. never been sedated and nervous about it. gastro likes to only do full sedation. should i look at other options?

Full sedation: Makes it easier, faster and more pleasant. Make sure the medication is administered by a dedicated anesthesiologist and that you are given oxygen supplementation and have your vital signs monitored. If you prefer light sedation, tell your doctor, but he may be unable to do a complete exam if you are too uncomfortable.
