I do not know: Without an exam it is tough to tell the severity of your knee injury. Get eval if the pain persists.

Chondromalacia: Chondromalacia can occur from direct trauma. Sounds like symptoms from your knee cap. Usually responds to therapy. Need an eval to see how serious.
