No, but...: The symptoms of severe viral gastritis mimic ulcer and can take weeks to heal. Agents used to treat ulcer will also benefit gastritis of any cause!

In a way: The virus can disrupt the normal conditions of the intestines/stomach and then the acid normally found in the area can irritate the lining causing issues. See a GI dr. If severe issues. Best wishes.
