A member asked:

My right ear was syringed out 3 months ago and it has left me with a pulsating noise - it matches my pulse?

Hearing issue: We hear by 2 mechanisms: air conduction and bone conduction. When air conduction is impaired, we hear the internal sounds that are always there but usually muffled. Normal anatomy: your carotid artery traverses the bone that composes your inner ear -that's what you're hearing. Your ear drum is likely scarred or the bones that conduct are dysfunctional. An ENT doctor may be able to help. Good luck.
