Sounds like fungus: Soft brush you tongue from back to front gently. May need to see a dentist to get a medication to get rid of fungus along with this brushing.

Geographic Tongue: Or many other interesting tongue conditions could be possible. Use good tooth brushing and also brush your tongue, and use a tongue scraper gently! you don't use steroids, and if you do not have an autoimmune disease, that makes thrush pretty unlikely. If it persists longer than 3 days, contact your doc or dentist.

Oral Thrush?: There are a number of things it could be. You would have to be clinically seen by a dentist (or ENT specialist) to be sure. My guess would be oral thrush also known as candidiasis which is a fungal infection and requires antifungal medication. However, there are other possibilities so make an appointment with your dentist\doctor.
