Possibly: Pain in pregnancy could be perfectly normal, but it needs to be examined. You want to do this safely. "bad" pain should certainly be evaluated by your obstetrical doctor to see if there is something you can do about it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Your ob/gyn will be able to decide if these symptoms are normal, based upon the size of the fetus and position. If pain radiates down the legs or is increasingly severe, a herniated lumbar disc should be considered. The increase in hormone production (elastin) causes a laxity (relaxing) of the large ligaments around the sacroiliac.
