Rice baby food: Rice does not caue baby to sleep. But babies after they are fed with cereals or another solid food and milk will tend to fall asleep, but it is not due to effect of rice itself.

NO: All new mother's cling onto this old wives tale! Your baby's brain is still trying to develop a sleep cycle. The use of cereal in the bottle DOES NOT promote sleep and can promote too much weight gain. Be patient with the crying - keep calming sleep music playing through the night to help soothe them. Try to avoid any solid foods until 4-6 months old unless directed by MD for treatment of reflux. http://www.babycenter.com/404_is-it-true-that-eating-rice-cereal-can-help-a-young-baby-sle_10304430.bc
