Why: What would make you think its a tumor? Go to your physician for an appropriate history and physical exam. Your physician may perform certain tests as well to rule out other causes. Don't jump to conclusions as to what it could be on your own you will cause yourself unnecessary anxiety. Get it checked and find out.

Ear tumors are rare: Very unlikely to be an ear tumor. They are rare. Usual they dont cause symtoms except for a gradual almost imperceptible loss of hearing. Rarely they cause a sudden drop in hearing. They grow so slowly that the brain adjusts for the balance problems and you dont feel dizzy. If dizziness was sudden in onset and severe like the ceiling was on the floor and vice versa, its usually viral inner ear inf.
