Two problems: So you were diagnosed with an ovarian cyst and this is being addressed. It seems as though there is a second problem involving a urinary tract infection and pelvic pain. It seems that these two issues, the cyst and the UTI are likely unrelated. You need treatment for the uti, and if the pelvic pain improves, then it is the uti. If it does not, then re-evaluation of the cyst is warranted.

Treatment?: What type of treatment? Birth control pills? If so, they are completely fine to use in that manner, though data is limited as to whether they can truly prevent cyst formation. I'm sorry you have a uti, hopefully you re on antibiotics? Pelvic pain is common and could be related to uti. See doctor if any of these severe.
