Need exam: Dull pain over the right breast bone in a 75 year old male (or female) could be related to inflammation of the rib / cartilage (costochondritis), or it could be a sign of some underlying disease involving the lung or heart. Certainly the best course of action is to have an exam performed by your doctor.
