Liver pain: The liver usually doesn't her per se, as it lacks nerve endings. The gallbladder and biliary ducts are the ones in that area that are likely to hurt. Not sure what tests/studies were done to confirm no cause for the pain in that area. Occasionally there may be referred pain from the stomach or large intestine or even lower lung lobe, which may be evident on thorough history and physical.
