My pdoc prescribed 40 mgs of geodon (ziprasidone) 2x a day but it makes me tired and gives me a drunk high feeling all day. can i take both doses at dinner or bed?

Geodon (ziprasidone) dose: Maximum dose according to fda is 80mg but rarely more effective above 40mg unles used to tx. Bipolar disorder--usually 60-80mg. Most often twice daily dosing is rx'ed. It dose come in 20 ; 60mg tablets so you might as your prescribing professional to try 20mg in am. And 60mg at bedtime to reduce lethargy. Dose adjustment is primarily symptom based.
