Perhaps for a bit: If you are underweight, you probably shouldn't be donating blood. You need that all to yourself to prevent feeling bad like that. Perhaps locating a doc in nz who specializes in genetics, nutrition and wellness might be able to help you start feeling better. Good luck! get your mthfr genotypes tested 677 ; 1298!

Blood loss: You did just lose a unit (/pint) of blood. You need to allow the body a couple of hours to redistribute fluid to the vascular system to replace the volume (hence the nurse's instructions to drink plenty of clear liquids and avoid strenuous activities for 4-8 hrs). Should go away in a couple of hours with good hydration.
