Get examined: It would help to know how you hurt your knee( direct fall on it...Awkward landing after a jump w/ a 'pop', etc.). The mechanism of injury can often lead to a certain diagnosis. A good examination of your non- injured knee, then a thorough exam of the injured knee by an experienced ors should give you your diagnosis . If needed, an MRI may be helpful to confirm... Best of luck!
