Possibly: But why are you discussing a drug which has profound anti-cholinergic effects and adverse events, as this drug has mainly been supplanted by Dopamine agonists. Not sure, in this day and age, that there would be a valid role for cogentin (benztropine). Meet with your doctor and discuss.

Cogentin: Drugs.Com lists the following as possible psychiatric effects of cogentin: "oxic psychosis, including confusion, disorientation, memory impairment, visual hallucinations, exacerbation of preexisting psychotic symptoms, nervousness, depression" Anxiety wasn't listed.
