Unlikely: Illiotibial band is a strong tendon like structure that attaches to the outside of your knee bone it can cause local pain and irritation in the knee area it is unusual to get nerve irritation because of it in the foot . You should look for other causes of nerve irritation leading to burning in foot please talk to your doctor to figure out what is causing your problem i hope that helps.
