Yes but...: Dental treatment can be done, but they type of novocaine (anesthetic) used may be determined by what trimester of pregnancy you are in and the recommendation of your dr. And/or OB gyn.

Broken tooth: Yes, dental work can be done while you are pregnant. However, unless it is an emergency, my personal preference is to do any dental treatment during the middle trimester. I also prefer to wait until after the baby is born to do any extensive treatment.

Yes: It will most likely be possible. Usually it is safe after your first tri-mester depending on your health history. Best to check with your dentist first.

Pregnancy and dental: The rule of thumb for dental treatment and pregnancies is that if treatment is absolutely necessary then it is best to have it completed in the second trimester. If you don't have active infection ;/or pain associated then hold off until after the delivery. It is always good to have your teeth cleaned regularly during your pregnancy due to the increased gum disease associated with pregnancy.

Absolutely and...: Almost all dental treatment can be performed while you are pregnant barring unusual circumstances such as high risk pregnancies. In fact, you want to keep your mouth healthy for the sake of both you and your unborn child. I suggest you discuss this issue with both your dentist and obstetrician who together should be able to agree on a plan of action along with routine safeguards. Congratulations.

Of course: Pregnancy is not a reason to defer routine dental care or treatment. Just let your dentist know that you are pregnant. Good luck!
