Gastroenteritis: Speed of recovery depends upon the cause. If this is viral or uncomplicated food borne issues it should clear up in 5-7 days. You are now at the outer limits and if does not get better in the next day or two would definitely recommend that you see a doctor. Best wishes for a rapid recovery.
