Nothing wrong: Back pain is common in late pregnancy. In some women contractions are felt in the back and sometimes back pain may be the only symptom of labor (not frequent, though). If the back pain is better and nothing else is happening, then most likely you're not in labor. You may want to talk about that with your obgyn, though, to make sure there is nothing else that he needs to know.
