Discontinuation....: ....Symptoms from stopping the anafranil( clomipramine )--can include electric shock feelings. Not sure what the connection is with the massage you had--did you only stop the med yesterday? Why would you stop the Anafranil because of a massage?

See your doctor.: Some people may experience withdrawal from meds including Anafranil (clomipramine) even at that low dose. I am not sure if your physician is cross-tapering you to an ssri. I assume you are being treated for ocd. If you began an ssri, then the symptoms should dissipate somewhat. If you had a thai massage w/ passive stretching, then you could have irritated nerves such as the sciatic one down the back of your leg.

Uncertain.: Anafranil is a tricyclic antidepressant. Anafranil discontinuation syndrome can include: dizziness, irritability, headache, nausea, vomiting, insomnia, fever, ^ depressive sx’s, ^ anxiety, tremors, fatigue, poor balance, nightmares. Symptoms may last days to months. Brain shocks are more commonly associated with SSRI discontinuation. I am not sure if the shocks all over are a/w discontinuation.
