Prevention: Most of us in us have been immunized against tetanus (lockjaw) but a good rule of thumb is every ten years for booster and 5 years for tetanus prone area or very dirty wound. Cleaning it quickly is not enough especially since you are not sure if your booster is up to date. Better to be safe and stay healthy! be well.
