Yes, but: In women who have chronic hypertension complicating pregnancy, they are sometimes maintained on beta-blocker blood pressure medications. The hypertension and the medication used to treat it can affect the growth of the fetus, so it is a balancing act of treating your BP appropriately and using the least amount of medication possible.
