Coughing: A few common things explain cough in people who aren't sick, including asthma, post nasal drip, and acid reflux. Your doctor should be able to help sort this out for you pretty quickly in their office with a simple exam and some tests. Since breathing is kind of important, i'd suggest you consider seeing them sooner than later to get this checked out.

Many causes: If you have gained a lot of weight in the pregnancy and failed to lost it post-partum, this may lead to acid reflux and thus the cough. But then there are also other possibilities and you should talk to your doctor about this. At the minimum, i think a lung function test is in order.

Need consultation: A cough that has gone on for nearly 4 months? I'd say it's worth getting a consultation. If your primary care doctor doesn't know what it is, then i would see a pulmonologist. It could be new onset asthma and allergies. Pregnancy can alter the immune system. But it could also be something contagious, like whooping cough, and that wouldn't be good for the baby either!

Reflux/GERD/LPR: Sometime have reflux that goes up and "tickles" the vocal cords causing a "wheezy" or reflexive or repetitive cough. Pregnancy hormones tend to relax the esophageal sphincters which can exacerbate a predisposition to this (as well as the belly/passenger during pregnancy causing increased abdominal pressure). Also, you don't have to have burning to haver reflux, lots of silent reflux/ate occurs.

RAD: You may heave developed some reactive airway disease (rad), as your body has been through a lot of stress over the last 9 months. Pregnancy can take a lot out of you, and predispose you to reactive airway disease as the baby pushes up against your lungs, etc. Being cold and flu season, you just may have never got better and may need some help form the doc to get your lungs improved. Best wishes.
