Before your triggers: It depends on why you're taking it. For a condition called diabetic gastroparesis for example, Metoclopramide is best taken 30-45 minutes before meals. It should be noted that there is a relatively uncommon but serious potential side effect to chronic use called "tardive dyskinesia" which can be permanent.
