No: Your hemoglobin is low, but depression does not directly cause anemia. You need to work with your doctor to discover the cause of this low hemoglobin and treat it. Not eating can result in inadequate nutrition (including vitamins); problems with absorbing nutrients and hidden blood loss can also lead to anemia.
