Diagnosed with tonsillitis a couple of days ago, after a day of taking medication, these yellow bumps formed on my tongue and hurt so much, what is it?

Herpes Lesions: Since you have an active infection, and are being treated with acyclovir, i suspect that you are suffering from viral infection. The bumps that hurt so much may be herpectic sores (lesions) that can be painful with sour and acidic foods or when you move your tongue around and touch you teeth. Water salt water rinses several times a day should help. Keep your mouth clean! get some rest!
